Liverpool star Mohamed Salah hit another record after scoring in the Premier League opener in the 2-2 draw with Fulham on Saturday.
The Reds escaped defeat after drawing two equalizers against the rookie team at Craven Cottage, with the hosts netting two goals from Aleksandar Mitrovic. The visitors scored goals from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah.
With this goal, the Egypt international has scored eight goals in the opening game of the English Premier League, the most with Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer. which the three have played for a long time
Salah also scored in his sixth straight Premier League opening game, a record. It was his 158th goal in a game for Liverpool, equaling Michael Owen in eighth place as the ufabet club’s all-time top scorer.
Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard are the only other players to score eight opening-day goals, and Salah has done so in less than half the amount of appearances than any of those.
An eighth such strike has seen Salah move clear of Jamie Vardy, though the Leicester striker could draw level again or even overtake if he nets against Brentford on Sunday.
It is another ridiculous feat from the Egyptian, which comes on the back of the off-season boost of a new three-year contract at Anfield.
With Salah now tied down until 2025, there are at least two more opportunities to extend this unique record further, with the 30-year-old undoubtedly a Premier League legend.
